It’s true, I do wear a lot of hats in my business.
A quick review of all that I do would take at least 20 minutes and you’d still miss some of the pieces of the puzzle.
I wrote “Croissants vs. Bagels” an Amazon bestseller which has nearly 200 reviews worldwide.
I work with associations to help them create more engaging experiences for all participants, especially first-timers and those attending solo.
For the last ten years, I’ve spoken to a wide range of audiences about the Art of the Schmooze and the importance of being a “host.”
Lately, I’ve been getting more opportunities to speak in front of women’s leadership meetings (more of this please!).
Which is likely influenced by my ideal client for my online coaching program being an entrepreneurial woman in her 50s.
I host On the Schmooze, a podcast which is about to reach 100 episodes.
And I’m leaving a lot out so this doesn’t become an even longer email.
The hook they all hang on?
Networking (aka relationship building) is a marketing strategy.
This concept seemed so obvious to me that I hadn’t bothered to articulate it until a conversation recently with a fellow coach.
Building relationships is the lens through which I problem solve for my own business and provide advice that helps my clients thrive.
Your Challenge For This Week
Write down all the “hats” you wear at your job or in your business.
Figure out the “hook” they all hang on.
This clarity is especially helpful if, like me, you need more than 3 minutes to share the impact you’re having on the world when someone asks “What do you do?”
Turn your “hook” into a statement that follows this kind of syntax:
I help _____ do _____ OR I inspire ____ to do _____
Try this and let me know how it goes!
Business Growth Strategist & Business Coach
As a relationship-based business growth strategist, I work directly with a limited number of self-employed professionals, aka solopreneurs.
WHO YOU ARE:
You want to have a greater impact and increased income. The problem is that there are so many options for how to build your business that you can feel stuck, overwhelmed, and like you’re running out of time.
The reason options are overwhelming is that you’re looking at them as a series of disconnected steps, when to make the most of your time, you need a strategy that connects only the most important and highest impact ones.
You know that if you try to do everything, you’ll accomplish nothing. This means, to achieve your goal, you have to invest in a strategy to put time on your side.
What’s Included:
As a relationship-based business growth strategist, I will work with you to design a year-long plan that consists of three 12-week sprints, each followed by 4 weeks of reflection/assessment, rejuvenation/vacation, and strategic planning. This will allow you to sequence your goals, create momentum, and leverage your limited time.
We can build your plan through a half-day strategy session, a coaching engagement, or a mastermind program.
These are not right for everyone; they’re personalized offerings and are priced accordingly.
